Legal document, 1774 July 8.

The text in the front of this printed document, signed by Button Gwinnett, pledges 14,365 pounds to John Neufville of Charlestown, South Carolina. It was signed, sealed, and delivered by Edward Neufville. Both the front and the back of the document has John Neufville's notes on payment installments from Gwinnett. The back has signatures of John Neufville and his attorney William Houstoun. Also included are three brief, printed biographies of Gwinnett.
